Who we are

EssenseAI (“we”, “us”) is an AI-powered personal-branding tool that helps professionals create, review, and publish content to LinkedIn. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it. If you have any questions, contact us at contact@essenseai.com.

Information we collect

  • Account information — your name and email address, collected when you sign up (directly or via Google sign-in).
  • Brand & profile data — the information you provide about yourself and your business to generate content (your role, audience, expertise, tone).
  • Content you create — the posts, drafts, and visuals generated within the product.
  • LinkedIn connection — when you connect LinkedIn, we store an access token so we can publish posts on your behalf. We only request the permissions needed to publish.
  • Usage data — basic logs needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use your information

  • To generate and publish content you request.
  • To provide, maintain, and improve the service.
  • To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
  • To communicate with you about your account or the service.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your private content to train third-party models beyond what is required to fulfil your request.

Google user data

When you sign in with Google, we receive your basic profile (name and email) solely to create and identify your account. If you choose to connect Google Calendar, we access your calendar only to schedule and display the LinkedIn posts you approve — we read and write calendar events for that purpose alone, never to sell, advertise, or build a profile, and you can disconnect it at any time. Our use of information received from Google APIs, including Google Calendar, adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not share this data with third parties except as needed to provide the service or as required by law.

Third-party services

We rely on trusted providers to run EssenseAI, including cloud hosting, our database, and AI model providers used to generate content. These providers process data only as needed to deliver their function and under their own security commitments.

Data retention & your rights

We keep your data while your account is active. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing contact@essenseai.com. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data and revoke any connected tokens.

Security

We use industry-standard measures — encryption in transit, access controls, and scoped credentials — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to respond quickly to any issue.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
